Destination Dialogues, presented by Destination Canada, is a series of webinars and online workshops designed to empower rural destination development professionals by inspiring and equipping them with innovative strategies. Following a successful first event in November 2023, the second event in September 2024 aimed to further support rural communities focusing on developing exceptional visitor experiences.
Purpose
Destination Dialogues is designed to achieve three goals:
- Empowerment: Provide actionable strategies to create tourism experiences that foster community resilience and sustainable growth.
- Relevance: Address the evolving needs of rural destinations by promoting regenerative tourism practices.
- Engagement: Broaden access to destination development knowledge and resources through virtual events and extend impact by publishing insights on the Knowledge Hub.

ReThinking Experience Development in Canada’s Destinations
This 90-minute public online webinar unpacked how destinations, organizations, businesses and individuals can create compelling storytelling-based experiences in rural areas.
